Culpeper Regional Hospital (CRH), an entity of the health system, is a 70-bed acute care, non-profit facility with a medical staff of 166 physicians, representing 29 specialties. As an affiliate of the University of Virginia Health System, CRH has access to the expertise, technology, and resources of a nationally recognized academic medical center, while maintaining the attentive, intimate setting of a community hospital.

Located conveniently within commuting distance of Washington, D.C., Fredericksburg, and Charlottesville, VA, Culpeper exudes small-town charm while offering close-by urban amenities.  Emergency Medicine

The emergency medicine group, which provides services exclusively at CRH, is seeking an ABEM BC/BE emergency physician to join their democratic, private practice. The Emergency Department (ED) is currently seeing 30,300 patients annually, with a broad demographic and clinical mix. The ED boasts a fully computerized medical record and ED ultrasound. The hospital is staffed with hospitalists 24/7 and supported by most major specialties with full-time or part-time coverage.

In addition, CRH and the University of Virginia Health System are institutional affiliates. CRH's ED provides the primary community experience for the University's emergency medicine (EM) residents, and currently has EM residents rotating in the ED 10 months annually. Full-time EM group members hold faculty appointments at the University of Virginia Health System.

  • Competitive salary and expectation of partnership after two years.
  • 8 to 12 hour shifts; 24/7 single physician coverage with two overlapping 12-hour shifts of NP/PA coverage.

 Hospitalist

The hospitalist group, which provides services exclusively at Culpeper Regional Hospital, is seeking an internal medicine or family practice BC or BE hospitalist to join their collegial, private practice. The successful candidate must be proficient with in-hospital management of all types of adult patients, including those in the ICU; as well as, being comfortable with common, critical care procedures. Important attributes for the successful candidate are outstanding communication skills, quality outcomes, and an interest in education and working with advanced practice providers. 

Highlights of the employment package include:

  • Competitive salary with full benefits, including health coverage, CME allowance, and malpractice coverage, including tail
  • Generous bonus plan
  • Block scheduling: 7on/7off; one week of nights every 3-4 months
  • Expectation for full membership in the group after two years

 Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

A collegial hospitalist group, that provides services at Culpeper Regional Hospital, is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to provide care for residents at a near-by nursing home.  The successful candidate will have outstanding clinical  and interpersonal skills and be comfortable rounding, providing acute care and recertifying  residents.  Competitive salary and generous bonus plan.
